I’ve had bad dental experiences in the past and did not want to go to the dentist. I broke a tooth so had no choice. My daughter in law and grandson had been to the Smile Spa and had a great experience so I called them for an appointment. I decided to do full mouth restoration to address all at one time. I had surgery 2 weeks ago. Extracted 3 teeth, 6 implants, sinus lift and bone graft. Got my stitches out today. A couple of days of discomfort was all!! Dr. Nguyen is amazing! Luz, his assistant made me feel comfortable. Looking forward to next steps with Dr.Joelle Elahad! All staff is wonderful! Highly recommend!!

Recently, my mom underwent a complete smile transformation that included implants, extractions, and oral surgery. It was one of the best decisions we could have made.Because of my mom’s health conditions, I was understandably nervous about the entire process. However, the doctors and staff were incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive every step of the way. Their expertise gave us complete confidence, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.The level of professionalism, care, and attention to detail was exceptional. We are so grateful to the entire team for giving my mom a beautiful new smile and making what could have been a stressful experience feel seamless. I visited the Smile Spa recently for a tooth extraction and bone graft during my visit to LA. I was able to see Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn on a short notice and they are both very approachable, attentive and patient. They answered all my questions and eased my nerves before / during / after the procedure. Dr. Shawn performed the extraction and bone graft in under an hour, and I could barely feel any pressure, or even pain. The receptionists and assistants were super friendly and welcoming, as well, and filed all my insurance paperwork for me. And the office has all the latest technologies for dental care and esthetics. Do not hesitate to give their office a visit for all your future dental needs!

I want to preface this review by saying I am not someone who writes these lightly. I’ve had extensive dental work done throughout my life from crowns, a full implant, previous orthodontic work. I’ve sat through procedures that were genuinely traumatic, including feeling every stitch during my implant recovery. I know what bad dental experiences feel like, and I’ve had plenty of them at practices across Southern California. Which is exactly why I need everyone to know about Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn.What sets this practice apart isn’t just skill it’s that they genuinely love what they do. They’ve invested in exceptional technology, they communicate every step of the process clearly, and they treat you like a person, not a patient number. Their staff carries the same energy: warm, responsive, and attentive every single visit. On top of that, they’ve clearly thought about every aspect of your experience, including your time. My wisdom teeth recovery was quick enough that it barely disrupted my life, and my entire Invisalign treatment has been trackable virtually, removing the need for monthly maintenance appointments, just real progress I could follow from my phone.My migraines have significantly reduced. Correcting my bite has touched every part of my daily life from the way I eat to the way I sleep to my facial structure. I didn’t know how much I was compensating until I didn’t have to anymore. And for the first time in my life, I actually trust my dental team.

The Smile Spa has been a great experience for me! I had to have my wisdom teeth out that I had been putting off for at least a year, and I came into the office as a new patient. Dr. Joelle gave me a thorough breakdown of my x-rays and made me feel extremely comfortable about the entire process. Dr. Shawn completed the procedure a week later, and it was much simpler and easier than I expected! Made a full recovery in less than a week. Not to mention they are extremely personable and it feels like they genuinely care about you as a patient and as a person! 10/10 would recommend them to any family and friends, easily one of the best dentist experiences I’ve had! After moving to Augora Hills my daughter needed to find a closer dentist. At her consultation, they said she needed 4 or 5 root canals and all her wisdom teeth extracted, totaling $21,000 out of pocket. She left in tears and called us in a panic.We decided to send her back to our long standing dentist 2.5 hours away in Mission Viejo, to get a second opinion. He said that was WAY too aggressive and unnecessary. She needed some work for sure, but only a few fillings and such. So glad we got a second opinion. She may need a root canal at some point later on, but something just felt way off with this assessment.I can understand a slight difference in professional opinion between dentists, but this was a HUGE discrepancy between treatment plans and more dentists these days seem to be "root canal happy". It's hard to know who to trust so I'm writing this review as a caution. Always get a second opinion if presented with an aggressive treatment plan.

Them and the entire team displayed unparalleled professionalism, skill, and care throughout my appointments.Day one I had my wisdom teeth removed in what seemed like a flash. I was never swollen or even sore from the procedure. I was back to work the next day with no issues at all. Day two I had my front four teeth replaced with veneers. This has been something I’ve putoff for a while due to cost and fear of the procedure but The Smile Spa excelled in both cost and the explanation of the process. Ive never felt more at home in a dentists chair.The clinic is modern, spotless, and equipped with the latest technology, which only adds to the sense of trust and confidence you feel as a patient. The personalized treatment plan was tailored specifically to my needs, and the results have been nothing short of phenomenal. I’ve been going to the Smile Spa for over a year and a half now for my biannual checkups, a tooth implant, and wisdom teeth removal, and I’ve consistently been impressed by how accommodating Dr. Joelle Abedad, Dr. Shawn Nguyen, and their staff are for their customers’ needs. They have a text message chat line that allows me to contact them directly with any questions I may have which helps relieve a lot of my anxiety especially after a procedure. The staff have been amazing helping me to navigate my insurance to make sure I’m paying the least amount out of pocket I need to be and they really make an effort to know their customers. They really ensure that their customers are taken care off and given the best treatment possible. Just last month Dr. Shawn made time outside of his regular hours to see me for a last minute emergency which I greatly appreciated.

Dr. Joelle & Dr. Shawn are the most professional, knowledgeable, compassionate, caring and well-rounded dentist I have ever met. They truly are specialists of their craft! I came in to get my wisdom teeth removed, an exam and cleaning. Dr. Joelle numbed me and it was painless. Dr. Shawn had my wisdom teeth out within two minutes or less. The Smile Spa delivers the most cutting edge dental technology and is so updated on modern dentistry. The office was clean, organized and the staff were extremely welcoming and comforting. I am really picky about my teeth and Dr. Joelle always seems to exceed on perfectionism. Nestor, their dental assistant, was very helpful in reducing my fear of getting my teeth removed. I would honestly recommend all my family and friends to come to The Smile Spa. I’ve been to many offices and I’m so happy and relieved I found them. I will start by saying I am the "I hate the dentist" person. After a traumatic childhood dental experience, I have avoided to my best ability. I broke a molar and was in significant discomfort and took straight to google/local Mom's groups for referrals. Smile Spa came up and after reading all the reviews, I was sold. I was SO anxious. I had to force myself into the appointment. The team from the front office all the way through the x-ray process made me feel like I was talking to friends or visiting a routine salon appointment.Fast forward to meeting Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn and I was immediately at ease. Learned that the tooth I broke was actually my wisdom teeth and had to immediately have them removed within a few days. Here I am one day "post-op" on a deep cleaning and all four wisdom teeth extractions and I can easily say the experience was phenomenal. I will no longer put off going to the dentist as I have found my safe haven! The recovery I am experiencing is nothing like that of peers or family members who have had wisdom teeth removed as an adult, which is an absolute testament to the skill of Dr. Shawn.An absolute heartfelt thank you to all at The Smile Spa that truly left me smiling when all I wanted to do was run beforehand!

I was in search of a great dentist and luckily came across Dr. Elahad… I had been dreading getting my wisdom teeth pulled for as long as I can remember but as soon as I met with her and all the amazing staff I felt so comfortable and confident I came in and got them pulled the next day!! Every other dentist/oral surgeon I saw told me it would be a week to two week recovery but Dr. Elahad promised me I’d be fine the next day and I was. If you need the best dentist and staff in La just stop your search now and go here. Thank me later

I love the Smile Spa! My first experience here was dealing with a cracked tooth and an extraction. Never a fun experience, but everyone here was helpful, caring, & supportive throughout it. I've never been to a dentist with this level of care and accessibility. Not only do they have great people skills, but I've been extremely impressed with the technology they have - it's leagues better than any other place I've gone. Can't say enough about how excellent Dr Joelle, Dr Shawn, and all the staff are here.
