I’ve had bad dental experiences in the past and did not want to go to the dentist. I broke a tooth so had no choice. My daughter in law and grandson had been to the Smile Spa and had a great experience so I called them for an appointment. I decided to do full mouth restoration to address all at one time. I had surgery 2 weeks ago. Extracted 3 teeth, 6 implants, sinus lift and bone graft. Got my stitches out today. A couple of days of discomfort was all!! Dr. Nguyen is amazing! Luz, his assistant made me feel comfortable. Looking forward to next steps with Dr.Joelle Elahad! All staff is wonderful! Highly recommend!!

Recently, my mom underwent a complete smile transformation that included implants, extractions, and oral surgery. It was one of the best decisions we could have made.Because of my mom’s health conditions, I was understandably nervous about the entire process. However, the doctors and staff were incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive every step of the way. I have had the most wonderful dental experience of my life. I have been fortunate to have come across The Smile Spa during my researching dental implants. When I arrived I was greeted by two remarkable women receptionists. They were as friendly, personable and knowledgeable as I could have asked for. They answered all my questions and made me comfortable which for me is extremely difficult because I am deathly afraid of dentists,because of some bad experiences I’ve had in the past.I was ushered into an examine room where I was greeted by a lab assistant who took x-rays with a handheld devise I was more more comfortable with rather than the large machines I’ve always been frightened of because of my fear of radiation. After the x-rays were completed four medically clad people into the room. They were all very personable and friendly and again made me at ease.Dr. Sean did everything necessary to prepare the implant explaining every detail to me as he evaluated and prepared me for the implant after having previously placed a temporary device onto my tooth. Everything was completed with a half hour and I made an appointment for two week to have the implant done. Each of these people were extremely knowledgeable, comforting and pleasant.The cost of my services and the implant was very reasonable after I had done the cost research. I received services from soup to nuts and couldn’t have been Moore pleased. To make this even better the offices were state of the art, beautiful and warming. Thanks Dr. Sean, Dr. Elehad and staff for this marvelous experience.I wrote the above after I had one of those brand meeting and First getting my preparation for an implant, Yesterday I went into finally get my implant placed. I was anxious, thinking it could be painful even thinking about the possibility of going under anesthesia. However, I always told it wouldn’t be any pain. Just a little pressure and I shouldn’t waste my money on anesthesia. So I would reluctantly, if our doctor Shawn Nguyen to do the procedure after he explained it all to me. He had his sister explained everything as they were doing the procedure me and they can be confident that it was going to be very simple process for within 20 minutes. The implant is placed and tested for comfort and compatibility with the rest of my teeth. Everything was perfect, including my bite and the feeling of having the implant was certainly nice after having almost 2 years to have completed not the cost of anything they did, but because I was sick for all that time it was unable to have Dental workBut it was completed. Dr. Shawn stayed and talk to me for around 20 minutes describing why he and his wife Started their practice and have continued it all this time. They are exceptionally warm, brilliant, and among other things have done things for their community as well as internationally through the Mercy Ship.I am proud that these wonderful doctors decided to open their practice in our community and that they have done more than enough to make their mark in the dental world. After everything was done, I was greeted by one of the most enjoyable receptionist who expresse her concerns about my two-year illness, and how thrilled they were, I was finally well enough to complete the procedure and also that I was feeling so well.Steven Eichberg, Esquire

I want to preface this review by saying I am not someone who writes these lightly. I’ve had extensive dental work done throughout my life from crowns, a full implant, previous orthodontic work. I’ve sat through procedures that were genuinely traumatic, including feeling every stitch during my implant recovery. I know what bad dental experiences feel like, and I’ve had plenty of them at practices across Southern California. Which is exactly why I need everyone to know about Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn.What sets this practice apart isn’t just skill it’s that they genuinely love what they do. They’ve invested in exceptional technology, they communicate every step of the process clearly, and they treat you like a person, not a patient number. Their staff carries the same energy: warm, responsive, and attentive every single visit. On top of that, they’ve clearly thought about every aspect of your experience, including your time. My wisdom teeth recovery was quick enough that it barely disrupted my life, and my entire Invisalign treatment has been trackable virtually, removing the need for monthly maintenance appointments, just real progress I could follow from my phone.My migraines have significantly reduced. Correcting my bite has touched every part of my daily life from the way I eat to the way I sleep to my facial structure. I didn’t know how much I was compensating until I didn’t have to anymore. And for the first time in my life, I actually trust my dental team.

Love The Smile Spa. The two dentists are great and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. We were crushed and happy at the same time when our former dentist retired, yes you saw that right, he was my uncle so we're happy that he's retired, much deserved. Crushed because we know finding a good dentist is hard and we did see another dentist in between and that was a very unpleasant experience. Eventually we were introduced to The Smile Spa and now our whole family here in SoCal is being taken care of by them. My dad even got implants done there and I've never seen him more confident when smiling.We don't exactly live in the area but for the care and expertise, the drive is well worth it for us. Besides, I'm out voted by my little bosses anyways as my daughter thinks Dr. Joelle is awesome and my son thinks their office 3D printer and scanners are amazing gadgets. I’ve been going to the Smile Spa for over a year and a half now for my biannual checkups, a tooth implant, and wisdom teeth removal, and I’ve consistently been impressed by how accommodating Dr. Joelle Abedad, Dr. Shawn Nguyen, and their staff are for their customers’ needs. They have a text message chat line that allows me to contact them directly with any questions I may have which helps relieve a lot of my anxiety especially after a procedure. The staff have been amazing helping me to navigate my insurance to make sure I’m paying the least amount out of pocket I need to be and they really make an effort to know their customers. They really ensure that their customers are taken care off and given the best treatment possible. Just last month Dr. Shawn made time outside of his regular hours to see me for a last minute emergency which I greatly appreciated.

I visited the Smile Spa recently for a tooth extraction and bone graft during my visit to LA. I was able to see Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn on a short notice and they are both very approachable, attentive and patient. They answered all my questions and eased my nerves before / during / after the procedure. Dr. Shawn performed the extraction and bone graft in under an hour, and I could barely feel any pressure, or even pain. The receptionists and assistants were super friendly and welcoming, as well, and filed all my insurance paperwork for me. And the office has all the latest technologies for dental care and esthetics. Do not hesitate to give their office a visit for all your future dental needs!

I recently had a follow-up visit with Dr Nguyen for my front tooth implant. First of all I LOVE their office space. It seems more like an ad agency than a medical office. Very edgy/inviting. My overall experience today was, once again absolutely delightful. Christine greeted me at the front desk and helped me breeze through some forms. Nestor then took some x-rays/scans. Both were courteous and professional. Then Dr Nguyen put me at immediate ease -- explaining the procedure for the day, his approach, and what I should expect. He then numbed me up nicely and methodically took care of business. I was in and out probably 45 minutes. He said all went well. And... I felt virtually no pain. On my way out Sadie, who was covering the front desk booked me a follow up appointment, then showed me to the elevator. All in all, a wonderful visit. Thx Dr Shawn! You and your entire staff ROCKS!

We came up with Smile Spa after so many google search and visits 4-5 dental offices for advise and for quotes!Dr. Shawn and his staff are very professional. Dr. Nguyen and his staff are amazing. Everything is so streamlined the way they run their office. Front desk is very thorough with their appointment settings, insurance reimbursements and follow ups. They are very transparent with billing and you get super fast answers and an itemized list of treatments everytime . My husband got his tooth implant done at this place which costed us $1K more than the last dentist but let me tell you, this place is worth it. If you want no headaches, top notch service and competent service, this is the place to go to. I love this place

Dr. Joelle did a phenomenal job on my porcelain veneers! The staff is extremely helpful, kind, and efficient. I received quality care and my hand made veneers were complete within a week! This was very important because I am an out of state patient and was able to fly in and out same day of treatment. Sending my mother for full mouth implants next month!

I called at 8:30 at night in the evening due to an implant falling out. I received a call from someone from the office who was incredibly helpful and got me in this morning at 8:45. The dentist, the assistant, and the staff are all amazing! Dr. Shawn, you saved me. I would definitely recommend family andfriends.
