I’ve had bad dental experiences in the past and did not want to go to the dentist. I broke a tooth so had no choice. My daughter in law and grandson had been to the Smile Spa and had a great experience so I called them for an appointment. I decided to do full mouth restoration to address all at one time. I had surgery 2 weeks ago. Extracted 3 teeth, 6 implants, sinus lift and bone graft. Got my stitches out today. A couple of days of discomfort was all!! Dr. Nguyen is amazing! Luz, his assistant made me feel comfortable. Looking forward to next steps with Dr.Joelle Elahad! All staff is wonderful! Highly recommend!!

I have had the most wonderful dental experience of my life. I have been fortunate to have come across The Smile Spa during my researching dental implants. When I arrived I was greeted by two remarkable women receptionists. They were as friendly, personable and knowledgeable as I could have asked for. They answered all my questions and made me comfortable which for me is extremely difficult because I am deathly afraid of dentists,because of some bad experiences I’ve had in the past.I was ushered into an examine room where I was greeted by a lab assistant who took x-rays with a handheld devise I was more more comfortable with rather than the large machines I’ve always been frightened of because of my fear of radiation. After the x-rays were completed four medically clad people into the room. They were all very personable and friendly and again made me at ease.Dr. Sean did everything necessary to prepare the implant explaining every detail to me as he evaluated and prepared me for the implant after having previously placed a temporary device onto my tooth. Everything was completed with a half hour and I made an appointment for two week to have the implant done. Each of these people were extremely knowledgeable, comforting and pleasant.The cost of my services and the implant was very reasonable after I had done the cost research. I received services from soup to nuts and couldn’t have been Moore pleased. To make this even better the offices were state of the art, beautiful and warming. Thanks Dr. Sean, Dr. Elehad and staff for this marvelous experience.I wrote the above after I had one of those brand meeting and First getting my preparation for an implant, Yesterday I went into finally get my implant placed. I was anxious, thinking it could be painful even thinking about the possibility of going under anesthesia. However, I always told it wouldn’t be any pain. Just a little pressure and I shouldn’t waste my money on anesthesia. So I would reluctantly, if our doctor Shawn Nguyen to do the procedure after he explained it all to me. He had his sister explained everything as they were doing the procedure me and they can be confident that it was going to be very simple process for within 20 minutes. The implant is placed and tested for comfort and compatibility with the rest of my teeth. Everything was perfect, including my bite and the feeling of having the implant was certainly nice after having almost 2 years to have completed not the cost of anything they did, but because I was sick for all that time it was unable to have Dental workBut it was completed. Dr. Shawn stayed and talk to me for around 20 minutes describing why he and his wife Started their practice and have continued it all this time. They are exceptionally warm, brilliant, and among other things have done things for their community as well as internationally through the Mercy Ship.I am proud that these wonderful doctors decided to open their practice in our community and that they have done more than enough to make their mark in the dental world. After everything was done, I was greeted by one of the most enjoyable receptionist who expresse her concerns about my two-year illness, and how thrilled they were, I was finally well enough to complete the procedure and also that I was feeling so well.Steven Eichberg, Esquire

For years, I’ve been afraid of going to the dentist as anything beyond a cleaning has always been an issue for years. .Many times I couldn’t get through trying to even get a filling.Smile Spa has state of the art instruments and the ability to put me under a twilight so that when I wake up my teeth are done and the idea of having to come back for everything one appointment at a time has been alleviated.I can’t tell you what a relief it has been to know that my teeth are taken care of.Aside from the fact that Dr. Joal and her husband are extremely knowledgeable and such amazing Dentists, they are kind and gentle and truly concerned .And further, their staff is amazing.From the office to everyone.It is a friendly environment, The office is exceptionally clean and beautiful.I brought my son so that he may continue to use them as his Dentist as well.

The smile spa is amazing! I am very happy that I found them. I had such a horrible experience with my past dentist once they handed the practice off to someone new and was searching for a new group to become a patient of. My first attempt at another office was not a good experience either as they were overcharging and doing unnecessary work. My mother heard great reviews of the smile spa so I made an appointment. I am so happy I found them! The doctors and assistants are so knowledgeable and kind and they do NOT do unnecessary procedures. They are extremely warm, welcoming and trustworthy. The front desk staff is also so amazing and friendly and the office is beautiful. It’s been extremely easy to schedule appointments as well and I really love that I am able to text them to schedule! If you are searching for a dentist definitely try out the smile spa. They make me less afraid of going to the dentist as I know they willmake sure any issues I am having are resolved so I can be comfortable again!

This was the cleanest dentist office I’ve ever been to. Everything was new and sanitized and it made me feel very comfortable. They use modern tools to scan your mouth which makes the process less invasive and less painful. The staff was professional and Dr. Joelle was very knowledgeable, honest, patient, and friendly. I want to preface this review by saying I am not someone who writes these lightly. I’ve had extensive dental work done throughout my life from crowns, a full implant, previous orthodontic work. I’ve sat through procedures that were genuinely traumatic, including feeling every stitch during my implant recovery. I know what bad dental experiences feel like, and I’ve had plenty of them at practices across Southern California. Which is exactly why I need everyone to know about Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn.What sets this practice apart isn’t just skill it’s that they genuinely love what they do. They’ve invested in exceptional technology, they communicate every step of the process clearly, and they treat you like a person, not a patient number. Their staff carries the same energy: warm, responsive, and attentive every single visit. On top of that, they’ve clearly thought about every aspect of your experience, including your time. My wisdom teeth recovery was quick enough that it barely disrupted my life, and my entire Invisalign treatment has been trackable virtually, removing the need for monthly maintenance appointments, just real progress I could follow from my phone.My migraines have significantly reduced. Correcting my bite has touched every part of my daily life from the way I eat to the way I sleep to my facial structure. I didn’t know how much I was compensating until I didn’t have to anymore. And for the first time in my life, I actually trust my dental team.

The Smile Spa has been a great experience for me! I had to have my wisdom teeth out that I had been putting off for at least a year, and I came into the office as a new patient. Dr. Joelle gave me a thorough breakdown of my x-rays and made me feel extremely comfortable about the entire process. Dr. Shawn completed the procedure a week later, and it was much simpler and easier than I expected! Made a full recovery in less than a week. After moving to Augora Hills my daughter needed to find a closer dentist. At her consultation, they said she needed 4 or 5 root canals and all her wisdom teeth extracted, totaling $21,000 out of pocket. She left in tears and called us in a panic.We decided to send her back to our long standing dentist 2.5 hours away in Mission Viejo, to get a second opinion. He said that was WAY too aggressive and unnecessary. She needed some work for sure, but only a few fillings and such. So glad we got a second opinion. She may need a root canal at some point later on, but something just felt way off with this assessment.I can understand a slight difference in professional opinion between dentists, but this was a HUGE discrepancy between treatment plans and more dentists these days seem to be "root canal happy". It's hard to know who to trust so I'm writing this review as a caution. Always get a second opinion if presented with an aggressive treatment plan.

Had some trepidation because of this being the first time with this dental group for anything other than basic procedures. I was grateful that Dr. Shawn and Joelle were very calm, friendly and willing to answer questions. I was glad that the dental assistant was so nice and comforting by just talking to me and being gentle when it started to hurt a little. So grateful for the kindness of the whole office, their humor helps to relax, and most importantly, they make an effort to get you in as soon as possible. Hearing Joelle, on a Friday afternoon letting me know to call even on weekend they would be available if needed, was the best feeling and comfort. Sore tooth on weekend is not fun. I would highly recommend this entire practice.

Was recommended smile spa by a friend towards the end of 2024. I ended up getting full top and bottom veneers & I was over the moon with them. I have a lot of friends with veneers and I would confidently say mine look better. I have also kept up all my standard maintenance at the smile spa and the service is amazing. Highly recommend, especially if the dentist is something you fear.

Love The Smile Spa. The two dentists are great and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. We were crushed and happy at the same time when our former dentist retired, yes you saw that right, he was my uncle so we're happy that he's retired, much deserved. Crushed because we know finding a good dentist is hard and we did see another dentist in between and that was a very unpleasant experience. Eventually we were introduced to The Smile Spa and now our whole family here in SoCal is being taken care of by them. My dad even got implants done there and I've never seen him more confident when smiling.We don't exactly live in the area but for the care and expertise, the drive is well worth it for us. Besides, I'm out voted by my little bosses anyways as my daughter thinks Dr. Joelle is awesome and my son thinks their office 3D printer and scanners are amazing gadgets. I LOVE going to the Smile Spa!! Every time I go, I feel so welcome from the moment I walk in the door and through my entire visit! The check-in process was easy and seamless. The first time I was treated there I filled out a form where they asked about my history, which I so appreciated - it's clear they want to make sure to get to know you (and your oral health) well so they can provide great treatment! Their assistant was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. Taking X-rays was so easy and quick! Dr. Joelle explained everything she saw and what her recommendations were. When I returned to get my cavities filled, she made sure I was comfortable during the entire treatment! She even followed up with me afterwards to make sure I was feeling okay. I did not feel any pain during the visit at all, and afterwards felt good as new! Dr. Joelle, Dr. Shawn, and the entire staff make it an amazing dental experience every time I'm here! This was the first time I went to see this Specialist for my crowning and filing. The Dr. did a phenomenal job and did it to perfection. I needed a total mouth makeover for years. Finally decided it was time. Came across Smile Spa on Next Door. Stars must have been aligned that day. What an incredible experience- from the minute I 1st called, their attention to patient comfort surpasses anything I have ever experienced in a dental office. Everyone is kind, caring, gracious and Dr.Joelle and Dr. Shawn are masters of their craft. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

The Smile Spa is by far the most beautiful, clean, and professional office I've ever been to. Everyone there is extremely friendly, compassionate, and proficient at their jobs. The atmosphere and the kind staff at this office really helped ease any anxiety that I did have coming in to get dental work done. I had to get x-rays, an exam, 4 fillings, and a cleaning. It was a lot of work, and I've never had fillings done before. Dr. Shawn, Dr. Joelle, and the rest of the staff at The Smile Spa helped make the entire process really seamless and as comfortable as possible. I was afraid of the numbing injections, but Dr. Shawn was so gentle that the shots were practically painless. I was beyond surprised, because I've had really painful injections done at other offices in the past (I'm sure many of us have). We also discussed Invisalign treatment, and I was able to get Botox injected into the masseter muscle to help with teeth clenching. Everything was done right there at The Smile Spa! No need to hop around to different offices. I normally can barely drag myself into a dental office, let alone going to two additional places to get Invisalign and Botox. The Smile Spa makes it so easy to get everything done that you need done. If it's related to dental health, they do it all right there! I wouldn't go anywhere else, and I'm so thankful I found them. It's really a unique experience. I'm looking forward to coming back to get my Invisalign trays!

This is the happiest, while being Cutting edge, professional and most kind dental office I’ve ever been to! Dr. Shawn was super nice! I came in because of a postcard flyer that I received in the mail. I made an in-person appointment and they gave a very thorough quote on invisalign and veneers. The suite is beautiful, sparkling white. It was a whole wonderful experience and everyone there was so incredibly friendly!

This is truly a spa-like experience. From the minute I walked in, the staff was welcoming, nice and calm. They are wonderfully efficient. I felt very comfortable with the male dental assistant who helped fit me for a mouth guard; he explained every step and piece of equipment and checked in to see if I had any questions. As promised, my mouthguard was ready within 3-4 days. It even has my initials on it! Joelle, the dentist, made sure it was an accurate fit and told me to come by anytime to have it professionally cleaned for free. I am so happy with the service I received at The Smile Spa. In fact, I prefer to go there and pay out of pocket over my HMO dentist. The difference in professionalism and service is profound.

I’ve been going to the Smile Spa for over a year and a half now for my biannual checkups, a tooth implant, and wisdom teeth removal, and I’ve consistently been impressed by how accommodating Dr. Joelle Abedad, Dr. Shawn Nguyen, and their staff are for their customers’ needs. They have a text message chat line that allows me to contact them directly with any questions I may have which helps relieve a lot of my anxiety especially after a procedure. The staff have been amazing helping me to navigate my insurance to make sure I’m paying the least amount out of pocket I need to be and they really make an effort to know their customers. They really ensure that their customers are taken care off and given the best treatment possible. Just last month Dr. Shawn made time outside of his regular hours to see me for a last minute emergency which I greatly appreciated.

Dr. Nguyen and his staff are amazing. Everything is so streamlined the way they run their office. Front desk is very thorough with their appointment settings, insurance reimbursements and follow ups. They are very transparent with billing and you get super fast answers and an itemized list of treatments everytime . My husband got his tooth implant done at this place which costed us $1K more than the last dentist but let me tell you, this place is worth it. If you want no headaches, top notch service and competent service, this is the place to go to. I love this place

I will start by saying I am the "I hate the dentist" person. After a traumatic childhood dental experience, I have avoided to my best ability. I broke a molar and was in significant discomfort and took straight to google/local Mom's groups for referrals. Smile Spa came up and after reading all the reviews, I was sold. I was SO anxious. I had to force myself into the appointment. The team from the front office all the way through the x-ray process made me feel like I was talking to friends or visiting a routine salon appointment.Fast forward to meeting Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn and I was immediately at ease. Learned that the tooth I broke was actually my wisdom teeth and had to immediately have them removed within a few days. Here I am one day "post-op" on a deep cleaning and all four wisdom teeth extractions and I can easily say the experience was phenomenal. I will no longer put off going to the dentist as I have found my safe haven! The recovery I am experiencing is nothing like that of peers or family members who have had wisdom teeth removed as an adult, which is an absolute testament to the skill of Dr. Shawn.An absolute heartfelt thank you to all at The Smile Spa that truly left me smiling when all I wanted to do was run beforehand!

I was in search of a great dentist and luckily came across Dr. Elahad… I had been dreading getting my wisdom teeth pulled for as long as I can remember but as soon as I met with her and all the amazing staff I felt so comfortable and confident I came in and got them pulled the next day!! Every other dentist/oral surgeon I saw told me it would be a week to two week recovery but Dr. Elahad promised me I’d be fine the next day and I was. I visited the Smile Spa recently for a tooth extraction and bone graft during my visit to LA. I was able to see Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn on a short notice and they are both very approachable, attentive and patient. They answered all my questions and eased my nerves before / during / after the procedure. Dr. Shawn performed the extraction and bone graft in under an hour, and I could barely feel any pressure, or even pain. The receptionists and assistants were super friendly and welcoming, as well, and filed all my insurance paperwork for me. And the office has all the latest technologies for dental care and esthetics. Do not hesitate to give their office a visit for all your future dental needs!

However, today I walked out of the dentist literally feeling more relaxed than before I walked in.Here’s why: First, the office staff is so unbelievably kind and helpful. They ran my insurance before I came in and again when I was at the office to avoid any surprise bills for me. In this economy, that diligent checking is a huge relief.The office itself is in a new, fresh building. Parking was a breeze. I was seen immediately and everyone was so, so lovely.The X-rays were not your traditional X-Rays where you sit panicking and sweating under a lead vest for what seems like hours as the tech leaves the room to take the picture.They have the newest, latest technology so the x-rays are far less stressful than the outdated techniques.The room I was in was beautiful. Light, airy. Big window with a view of trees and the mountains. So much better than those sad, sickly, dreary spaces I was used to.And best of all? The chair you sit in during the cleaning was a massage chair with heat!!The dentist, Dr. Joelle Abed Elahad, is a true gift to the practice and dental patients everywhere! I felt so secure and she was so fast and so gentle at the same time. I’ve been in a lot of medical offices and I only wish half the doctors I saw were as compassionate.10/10 could not recommend more. See you all in six months!

I recently had a follow-up visit with Dr Nguyen for my front tooth implant. First of all I LOVE their office space. It seems more like an ad agency than a medical office. Very edgy/inviting. My overall experience today was, once again absolutely delightful. Christine greeted me at the front desk and helped me breeze through some forms. Nestor then took some x-rays/scans. Both were courteous and professional. Then Dr Nguyen put me at immediate ease -- explaining the procedure for the day, his approach, and what I should expect. He then numbed me up nicely and methodically took care of business. I was in and out probably 45 minutes. He said all went well. And... I felt virtually no pain. On my way out Sadie, who was covering the front desk booked me a follow up appointment, then showed me to the elevator. All in all, a wonderful visit. Thx Dr Shawn! You and your entire staff ROCKS!

Dr. Joelle did a phenomenal job on my porcelain veneers! The staff is extremely helpful, kind, and efficient. I received quality care and my hand made veneers were complete within a week! This was very important because I am an out of state patient and was able to fly in and out same day of treatment. Sending my mother for full mouth implants next month!

Love that every exam room has big windows over looking the luscious green mountain backdrop, what a view to get your teeth cleaned!The atmosphere is very inviting, welcoming, and attentive. Staff and doctors (Dr. Shawn Nguyen and Dr. Joelle Elahad) are so kind and easy to talk to you. The staff always does their best to accommodate my schedule. Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Elahad are truly the best with years of experience and are absolute professionals at what they do. I could not trust a better team!Have had great experiences with every visit!

I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn to get some work done. I have never had a better experience at the dentist than I have at The Smile Spa. Everyone was welcoming and helpful from the minute I got there until my procedure was over.I wanted to be sedated for my procedure and I felt comfortable and safe due to the collective experience that Dr. Joelle and Dr. Shawn have with dental procedures.
